Things You Need To Know

Contra Indications

Please read the sheet on Contra Indications, it contains a breakdown of things that should stop you from applying nail products to others This section should be considered very carefully.
Over Exposure

There are 3 main types of over exposure: inhalation, absorption and ingestion.

We don't want to frighten you… we want to educate you and make sure you are fully aware of ALL of the contra-actions that may occur. Nails & Beauty Solutions is a company that not only sells products, but also tells you how it really is. We won't hide any information.

GET SMART, READ AND BE AWARE

INHALATION

Over exposure through inhalation can occur. Always make sure that the room is well ventilated: Open a window and leave the door open. If you are using Liquid & Powder (Acrylic) you need to be extra cautious. If you work from home you are not only putting yourself at risk, but also your family.

Continued inhalation of vapors can result in headaches, mood swings, colds and coughs. Everyone has there own sensitivity barrier, get smart, don't over expose and use in a well ventilated area.

ABSORPTION

Nail extension products should not come into contact with the surrounding skin. Always make sure NOT to touch the products with your fingers. All types of chemicals including some nail extension products can enter your system by skin absorption.

Allergic reactions may occur in those that have sensitive skin. You can also sensitise yourself to a product, meaning if you continually are allowing the product to touch your skin, you can in fact build up an allergic reaction.

INTERNALLY

This type of over exposure should never occur. Ingestion means that the chemicals enter your body through swallowing. All labels clearly state EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Always ensure that you keep your nail products out of reach from children.
Clean Towels

Make sure all towels are clean - Don't share your towel with others
Tools & Files

ALL metal tools should be sterilised to kill all microbial life. Then ALL tools and files need to sprayed with your Hard Surface Spray (disinfection) prior to use

Metal Tools should be cleaned after use and then put back into the sterilser. Don't leave your tools lying around.

Don't leave your files hanging around or share them. We prefer to use one file per customer (100/180 White File) but, we do re use the Sand Turtles (after disinfection) Spray before and after use to reduce the risk of contamination.

NEVER SHARE YOUR FILES WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY. YOU MAY BE PUTTING YOURSELF AND OTHERS AT RISK OF BACTERIAL & FUNGAL INFECTION.
Products

Please keep all products out of children's reach. These products are for external use only. The majority of nail products are flammable and some will strip the paint or varnish off of most surfaces.

You can sensitise yourself to a particular product resulting in an allergic reaction if you misuse the product. Keep all products away from the skin. Contact with the skin may allow the product to absorb into your blood stream. Use all products in a well-ventilated room (open windows and doors). Don't allow the products to come into contact with your mouth or eyes. Misuse of chemicals can result in accidents and over exposure.
Throughout our help sheets we try to make you aware of each product and its characteristics and dangers. Please take these warnings seriously
Maintenance

You will need to maintain nail extensions "fortnightly". If you fail to rebalance/infill or fix breakages you will be putting your customers nails at risk of possible infection or trauma through breakage.

Please, please take time to read and understand the necessity of maintaining your nails.

A set of nails are merely a cosmetic enhancement - not a permanant enhancement.
Over FilingOver Filing

Never over file, you will end up ruining customers nails. Their nail plates will be thinned and unsightly. It takes roughly about 4-6 months for a nail plate to grow out from start to finish. That is a long time to wait, especially if unsightly damage and trauma has occured.
